REFLEXIONES FILOLÓGICAS Y FILOSÓFICAS

Dra. Beatriz Penas, Departamento de Filología Inglesa y Alemana, Facultad de Filosofía y Letras, (Universidad de Zaragoza).

Existe un diálogo entre la filosofía y la filología acerca de los temas de identidad y diferencia de gran interés en el momento actual. Hoy el incremento de las comunicaciones ha hecho más visible y cercano el hecho de la diversidad humana, y lingüístico-cultural. Se hace necesario reconsiderar conceptos filosóficos como el de diálogo e intersubjetividad para comprender mejor los retos de la comunicación en un contexto intercultural. Tendrán acogida en este congreso aquellas intervenciones que centren su estudio en los siguientes apartados:

Secciones Temáticas:

A)Identidad, diferencia, diversidad.
B) el rol del discurso en la identificación del ser de uno mismo y de los otros en categorías como clase social, etnia, género, y nivel de educación.
C)Intersubjetividad y diálogo.
D)Interculturalidad y mundos de experiencia.

Fecha de entrega de manuscritos:
abstracts o resúmenes de ponencia y texto completo:
15 Julio, 2003

Máxima extensión del artículo: 8 páginas mecanografiadas a doble espacio (incluidas notas y bibliografía) de acuerdo con las normas editoriales del "MLA Handbook for writers of research papers." Se enviará tres copias del artículo sobre papel y una en formato Word, por attachment o en diskette. Cada copia deberá incluir un resumen de 100-150 palabras. Los datos de los autores se enviarán en folio aparte (incluirán nombre completo, filiación, título del artículo y direcciones, postal y electrónica, de contacto).
Por favor, indicad la sección en la que debemos incluir vuestra aportación.

Cada participante dispondrá de 20 mins. para presentar su ponencia y de 5 mins. para preguntas y discusión.

Philosophical/Philological Reflections

Dr. Beatriz Penas, Departamento de Filología Inglesa y Alemana, Facultad de Filosofía y Letras, (Universidad de Zaragoza).

We will welcome contributions that focus on and problematise the on-going dialogue between Philosophy and Linguistics about the issues of identity and difference and about the role of discourse in the  identification  (and differentiation) of the self and the others.
Hermeneutics, phenomenology, sociolinguistics, discourse analysis and critical theory provide complementary perspectives on the issues under debate and can serve as theoretical and methodological frames for the contributed papers

Sections for contributed papers:
A) Social/linguistic diversity and its role in communication.
B) Discursive representations of the self and the other.
C) Intersubjectivity and Dialogue.
D) Interculturalism and Life-worlds.

The conference site is the Humanities Building, UNED, Paseo Senda  del rey 7, 28040 Madrid.

Deadlines:
The deadline for papers and abstracts is July 15th, 2003

Maximum manuscript length is 8 typed, double-spaced pages (including notes and bibliography) produced according to the "MLA Handbook for writers of research papers." Manuscripts should be submitted in triplicate. Please, submit papers in an attachment or on disquette (word format), too. Each copy should include a 100-150 word abstract. Personal data about the author should be sent in a separate sheet (including name, filiation title of the paper and contact postal and electronic address).

Please, indicate the section for which the contributed paper is intended.

Each participant will be allowed 20 mins. for presentation of her/his paper and 5 mins. for discussion.
